buy new 6.5s and anything pushing those subs at their full rating will probably give you the same response. Legacy ratings are extremely screwy.

900 max each? if so, buy a 1000 watt amp, you don't want to run at the max, a profile amp would be fine for those subs.

buy an amp that does around 600 watts RMS (impedence depends on your sub)

go with a known name. if you must buy cheeper amp do it. cheep ones are pyramid and legacy. name brands that are ok are gona be sony Xplod, and lightning audio. good brands are lanzar, rockford fosgate, panasonic, there are more i just cant recall at this moment. find something that will give you the 4OHM rating. if its 2 cut the watts in half. you want to push about 300-400W to each of those

i say if your interested in car audio you gotta start somewhere
you cant start out with the best you gotta learn. i say you shoud go
with the more popular brands like JL AUDIO.(best eva) once you can afford to buy these you will be really happy. my motto is you get what you pay for and i have had nuthing but bad things happen with my cheap shit and only good with my good shit. so i say if you want bass get the good shit. i think you would be happy with kenwood amps and subs they are mid price range and perform pretty good. i wouldnt go with anything less you would be just wasting money

i have 2 jl w7's powered by 2 bd1000 rockford amps thats 4k right there i also have 4 gauge all wired by me myself and i. i have an alpine phantom face for 600 bucks. i did all the work myself i also have 2 power caps and everything is in tip top running shape. i cant keep my car together i think it stops my heart. i am stupid for spendint this much but i spent the whole summer landscaping 21 hour days to pay for this shit and it is worth it
