I don’t have wallpaper on my computer screen. Our computer administrator blocked access to the function so we can’t have any pics on our desktop. Stoopid if you ask me!

Holy crap, yours looks almost identical to mine, since I'm using the exact same laptop, exact same cable modem, exact same burner, similar phone...

Just picture a 15" external monitor to the left of the laptop monitor containing the left half of my 2048X768 resolution, and 4 small speakers + sub on the floor. Also, a Logitech optical mouse working on a Ferrari crest mousepad

Well, I was gonna get a monitor, but im too broke now. You cant see in the pic, but I dont have speakers attached cause I have it attached to a friggen monster stereo (most of the time). and yes, the mouse on the right side of the pic is a logitech optical. Ill post up a pic of my oldschool (but very powerful stereo)

The laptop is my life, without it, I would be booted out of my college course.

EDIT :

I have had the laptop for just over 14months now, and I have gotten very used to it. I can use the IBM Trackpoint as well or better than most ppl can use a mouse, And I find the keyboard to be of very high quality, much better than the one we have on my parents desktop.

Yeah, I noticed that after I posted, but that's not the one I have. I've got that one back home. I've got the cheaper one, same shape, but a little lighter because it doesn't have that funky thumper when you go over a button. It's white with the clear bottom (with red light) too.

I listen to a TON of music [when my parents are out]. I only use headphones when its really late at night, or at school.

Now dont laugh at my stereo. Yes, I know its circa late 1980's but its quality kenwood components, and the amp [old school as it is] pushes out 1200 watts

here is a pic of one of the speaker boxes with the cover off

As you can see from the picture of one of the speaker boxes, there is a 12' sub, midrange and tweeter, with a port in each box, plus each box has an adjustible crossover, and seperate equilizers.

Not bad considering I also got all the cables, a kenwood tape deck, tuner, and record-player [ ] for $300. The guy had won one of those home theater thingys and wanted to get rid of this cheap. When I turn up the base, and crank the volume, things fall off tables, windows shake, and neighbours get p.o'd :hehe:

not a bad sound setup for a laptop is it?

Believe me, I know that old school sound systems rock. They're trying to come back with the retro stuff, using big knobs and silver color, but it's just all crappy plastic now. For a while I was using my dad's old component cassette player as my cassette player. It's from 1978, and was hugely advanced for it's time (Pioneer), with an electric blue digital display. It was real metal, with big knobs and everything. I ran that through his first amp, a huge literally 30+ pound motherfugger that goes EXTREMELY loud, louder than any of the new systems the guys at future shop always try to show off.
