does any one know if this can be done...nevermind the price ...i just wanted to konw if there was a 92-95 type-r made and if so could you swap out the necessary parts to transfer over to a 4th gen?
forgive me if this is a stoopid question....

well, there wasnt a 92-95 type r made... (dont know what that has to do with a 88-91 anyway)..first year of the type r was 97 I believe...in the us anyway... I've seen 5 lug conversions on 88-91s though..so its doable.

It's been done, but like Marked said, only with the newer(ish) Type Rs. I know you don't care about the price, but I'd just like to say that it's way more than it's worth unless you get the parts for free.

I believe the final drives are what's different between the two trannies..not 100% sure that's it though.

the gear ratios were not the same, it has nothing to do with spline count on the axels either.

the gear ratios on DX and Si trannies are 100% the same, except for the final drive. the DX has a 3.88 final drive, whereas the Si has a 4.25 final drive.
