RB25DET internals strength?
how far (in terms of hp/kw) can you take a RB25DET before you would have to look at changing internals (ie, pistons, conrods, basically the shortblock area)
??

there are people running 240-250 rwkw or 400 hp @ the flywheel on stock bottom end for relability you shold strengthen it probably from 350-370hp @ fly or not run heaps of boost as compression is quite high in these engine 9 to1.

i was running 427HP at the rear wheels on a stock bottom end, RB25DET.
Nissan doesnt make street motors and race motors. they use one design for all motors... their durability is top notch. the bottom end on both the RB25 and RB26 are almost identical. most of the differences between both motors are in the head. this meaning your bottom end will hold up to more horsepower than you can imagine for a street car. |
