accord coupe 03 LX or EX? Please give your opinion

Hi all

I'm trying to decide between the LX and the EX 03, the only major different between the 2 that I care about is the alloy wheel. How much does it cost to put in alloy wheel after market? And if you put in a 16" alloy wheel what do you do with the old 15"? Also I want to get a rear wing spoiler for the car after market. I saw some stock one selling for $375, is this a good price? and how much would it cost to get someone one to install it? I'm totally new to this so any help would be great. Thanks

If the only difference youre worried about is the wheels and you plan on getting aftermarket rims anyway, then why pay extra for the EX badge? And why would you buy aftermarket 16 inch rims. Go big or go home. Plus, the Accord comes stock with 16 inchers on LX and EX trim. j/k Pay the ($400?) less and get 17's. Just my opinion. 16 inch aftermarket rims on an Accord is sort of a waste of money to me.

As for the spoiler idea, I believe you are referring to those huge aluminum one and they are . If you want a spoiler, either go stock or get a tasteful aftermarket one. tase and aluminum wings do not mix imo. Please do not do that to your car.

The LX come with 15" wheel cover, what do you do with the old rim and tire when you get new wheel? and if you did your, how much did it cost you?

When I got the new rims, I kept the stock ones and have them in my garage just in case something goes terribly wrong with the new wheels. Its better than ridin a donut! Or, since your tires would be so new, you could try to sell em to somebody. So are you thinking of getting the stock alloys and THEN putting on aftermarket rims??? I would definitely get the LX with hubbies. You'll save a few bucks.

I'm glad you weren't talking about an aluminum spoiler. I didn't know you meant the stock style. That looks cool, but why would you have it installed by someone other than the dealer/factory?

I'd go with the LX, most of the "options" can be added by yourself for less $.

I've got the EX...

Personally, I think the EX is worth the extra money but only if you want the features you get... In my old car, my wife was always cold and I was always hot. Now, with the dual climate control, she can have her side at 79 and I can have my side at 69. It's perfect. Haven't tried the heated seats yet (too hot). The leather seats are nice as well but might be an unnecessary luxury.

i don't really know too much about the 2003 accord models. i have a 98 sedan LX. The main difference that i noticed between the LX and EX of 98 (coupe and sedan) is that the EX models were all V6 and LX 4 cyl. Because the EX is V6 it has dual exhaust which I like because it makes the car symmetrical. it also has leather which is nice too as long as it is in cooler weather. but if you're only interested in the EX because of alloy wheels, i suggest you save your money and go with the LX. you can get some 17s or 18s lower it and it will look sick!

I decied to go with the LX, just closed the deal at the dealer today at 18G, i'll put in the alloy wheel and spoiler after market. If you get the EX w/o leather all you getting more is CD changer and alloy wheel (no dual climate control, heat seat, that only come w leather which cost another grand) cuz alloywheel and CD changer does not cost 2G,

I'm thinking of this wheel Kazera KZ-v 18x7 - $154 a piece

http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheel..._v_cg_1000.jpg

and this tire Bridgestone Potenza S-02 A
Size: 215/45ZR18 Blackwall
ZR Speed Rated Price: $169

Total
$1,354.08+$62.08 ship=$1,354.08
