Vafc
I just installed a new VAFC for my b16a del sol and just took a guess as to where my fuel curve settings and vtec engagements should be. I'm not getting the results I should be getting. If anyone has a vafc and knows a good place to start for settings I would sure appreciate it.

Is your motor still stock, if so the VAFC wont give you that much noticable gains until you start tearin up your engine. And dont play with your VTEC settings if you still have stock cams. The stock VTEC point is very good and the engineers at Honda probably spent hours on a dyno to see where the best place to put the VTEC engagement

vafc
I didn't expect to gain a whole lot of hp witht the vafc. I mainly got it to beeter monitor and control future mods. I sure didn't expect to lose and hp though, which I'm doing. I can put the vtec engagemnet back at 5500 and see if that helps but do you have any suggestions as to where I should put my fuel curve? Thanks a lot. Chipras3

Don't mess with the fuel curve either. The factory setting is fine for your mods. You have no reason to mess with it. The only way to tune a VAFC is on the dyno. It's not tuned by feel. You can't ask people for their setting either. Each engine is differen. Get on a dyno and until then return it back to the original setting.

Thats not entirely true. You can tune a Vafc on the street. It is not the most prcise way but it can be done by someone who understands and is familiar with the car. But best bet is to have a dyno done. You may want to leave it at factory settings and do your other mods. Then have the dyno performed. They are fairly expensive and your settings will change for maximum performance as you perform modifications. Good luck
