i know, i know, wats with the damn engine swap questions, but mine is actually pretty good. Im comparing B16A1 vs B18C1 (as everyone does), but i know the price and stats, all i need to know is how much more work is involved with B18C1. Like exactly wat needs to be done thats harder than b16a, such as wiring, tranny, mounts, etc. I wont be putting this in, but i wanna know how much extra ill be spending on other parts and the labor. Thanx

Yup. You'll just need to sell the GSR tranny and get a cable one from a 1st gen.

Personally I think the B16 is better because its at least $1500 (cdn) cheaper and you could get a good amount of power out of the B16 for the price of the GSR.. OR you could just get the 1st gen B16 and buy a GSR block for it for like $800. Cheaper and better than a GSR.

Ok thanx. One more thing, is the B18C5 (Type R) more work? Cuz i know the B16B (Civic Type R) engine is a lot more work, just wasnt sure if integra type r was the same. The reason i might be gettin these is becuz a friend of my bro's just got 3 gsr engines (possibly stolen lol) i might be able to get one from him cheap. Also a friend of mine knows a guy at lincoln tech who gets engines real cheap, so if he can get the type r engine for like around $2k i might just get that as long as it isnt too much work. My stereo was stolen ... and im sure the stereo i bought to replace it at my local flea market was stolen so it doesnt bother me none.

ok, ok, sorry, spur of the moment joke. I honestly have no idea where he got em, my extent of the situation is wat my bro told me, "A friend of a friend is getting 3 gsr engines and i can find out if he's selling em and how much", i really dont know if they're stolen, could've just bought 3 gsr engines and got a good deal on em so is now selling em for all i know. Im sry, i guess it was a stupid thoughtless joke, and if it is true, i will definitley......reconsider buying em. But i mean if i knew for sure they were stolen, but they were like $500, i would really consider buying em, cuz they way i see it, someones gonna buy em, might as well be me. I have the same philosophy for vegeterians, even if they dont buy that 5 lbs of ground beef, someone else will. Maybe its immoral, hopefully i wont look like a complete loser/bitch/deuche or watever, but if i do, im sry.

I however was not trying to make someone else get a B16 in this thread, but just saying that buying stolen shit is a totally retarded thing to do because all it does is support that group of people who do it.. The more people that are making more money off it (because people are buying it), then the more shit that gets stolen. So, it only seems fair to me that if you knowingly buy a stolen engine, that one day it too will come around to you so you know how it feels when that person walked out of their house or whatever to get in their GSR and it was gone.

EDIT: nevermind.. I see in my first post I decided to shed some light on the GSRs cheaper brother.

yea someone is gonna buy it anyways so why not. and you honestly can't say that you wouldn't buy a 500 dollar gsr engine. and if the guy who sells stolen engine gets his shit stolen, he will prolly go steal another one, so by wishing that he gets his shit stolen you are promoting stealing too.
