Reconditioned 1999 Mustang! Need Advice!

I was wondering what you guys think of this deal.

1999 Mustang
41k miles
Automatic
Leather interior
CD Player

1. The leather interior was put in the mustang after a fire burned out the interior of the car. It is from a 1998 cobra. The fire was caused from a cigarette. There was no damage to the electrical system of the car. The interior fire caused the car to have a Salvaged Title. It now has a restructured title.

2. Both bumpers have some pretty major scuffs on them. Enough that I would like to get them painted ASAP. If you have an idea what it would cost to get "scuffs" touched up on a car, let me know.

3. I will probably need to replace all the tires. At least one of them definitely needs replaced, but I'd rather just replace all four.

Price - $5900

A restructured title definitely gives the car less value. Plus, I am going to have to put a fair amount of money into the car immediately. Any advice would be appreciated

V6 or V8?

Hey if you're going to Mod it I don't think the restructured title doesn't mean much to you anyway lol.

5900 for a V8 would be an awesome deal in my area. I'd take it if you don't

Tires (800 bucks for good ones.. all four I mean) and youre pretty much set. But the V6/V8 does make a difference when considering to buy it.

oh ya... you can get either putty for the dings (if theyre prety deep). 10 bucks? If you do that you're going to have to get them painted. I'd suggest getting new bumpers altogether if you can buy them painted from the Ford Factory... Painting them MIGHT cost as much as buying new ones. But then that depends on the painter and searching for a good one etc etc.

If I had the scuffy bumps I'd replace them both with some neat ones like the saleen ones or perhaps even Steeda (alhtough the front spoiler thingy doesn't really appeal). But that would cost more because I don't think you can buy them painted factory colors for same price. Maybe the Ford Parts has something that would suit it.

It's a V6. I don't plan on changing it too much from factory. Let me know what you think

Eh, since its a V6 i dont think its THAT much of a deal. You can find some 99+ V6 Stangs for around $6k-$9k.

slavage titles are a double edged sword. You get a sweet ass deal on them when they've been totaled for something bizzar, like an interior fire, or an electrical blow out - but they are near impossible to resell. figure on selling it for half of what you paid for it in three years. A good deal, but a bad investment.

I would avoid that deal. If the interior caught fire I am sure the used water to put it out. If the dash wiring got wet you will have electrical problems down the road. Not to mention resell is very difficult with salvage or rebuilt title.
