So many motors? but what should i do

Okay I just bought a 1996 civic EX and it is totally stock.....I have some money left over about 5000 dollars and i want to swap it with a JDM motor. So i went to look at Motors and there is a ton that i can choose from. What i was planning on doing was taking the d16 out and putting in a b18a/b for the compression to put like 10-14 psi. Then my friend told me to get a b18c which is a 180??hp engine so that way i could just put a 6 psi in it and still get the same results. And today i was looking and found a b18c5 which has really caught my attention and i really like it. Now is it possible to put this b18c5 into my 96 civic ex and would it also be possible(in the future) to put a 6-8 psi boost on it? I know this is alot at once but i really wanna get started and i don't want to start off on the wrong foot

yes you can drop the b18c5 motor in your car, but it would be a waste of a perfectly good N/A motor if you turbo it.

It all depends on what your goals are and what you want. But good luck with the type R if you choose to get but all the DOHC VTEC motors are good. If they weren't then those brilliant Honda engineers wouldn't have put them in our cars

be careful with frankenstein setups, only people who exactly know what are they doing and have the experience can build a correct setup, if you're not sure on that you better get an original full engine.
