Tranny Troubleshooting
New sound/vibration that is freaking me out. Suspicious of a bad throw-out bearing.
Sound/vibration that reminds me of a bad u-joint when in 1st gear and 2nd, though hardly there in 2nd. Don't notice it in 3rd-5th. Having read other posts on input bearings, the one thing different that I have noticed was that the vibration is still there, but less, with the clutch engaged (pedal down). Then rev the engine with the pedal down and you can feel the vibration but not hear anything.
Please assist with how/where I should start on this. Have to borrow the cash to get this fixed so trying to get an idea of what I am in for.
