when u remove anything that is expendable in the engine compartment, and operates with a belt going to the engine, u can see anywhere from a 4-8 hp LOSS

so that means power steering and air conditioning, if im not mistaken.

some people free up both on drag day a lot of first timers don't know that trick.

i think its worth the extra 10 hp from removing both

Cool

Very hard to turn at low speeds,
but if u r dragging, you don't need
anything, ps ,alt, water pump,
take whole a/c out.

If you plan on drifting with the car I would leave to power steering in for it will help you wip the steering around easier at lower speeds.

but if you tke off power steering when you have power steering rack designed for power steering to be used on it, its worse than having a non power steering car.

apparently near on impossible to turn.

i am thinking of doing this in my rb25det silvia as the crossmember is now in the way of the pwr steering lines.

and to get some new ones mad up might not be feesable at this stage

indeed i meant GAIN.. its just that i wrote the sentence one way.. then deleted it, reworded it, and finished off with "LOSS" which was reserved for sentence #1.. lol..
