89 Calais new battery? won't charge
1989 Calais put new battery in and it will not hold a charge. When I put a jump pack on it starts immediately and when I pull the cable off it dies immediately. Any ideas as to what the problems is? I am thinking the alternator or a bad (new) battery sold to me.

prolly your alternator bud. At least, that's what I would suspect it as.

it is usually ur alternator but if u just got a new alternator recently like a couple years ago then check if they actually replaced the plug that plugs into the alternator back 2 the battery/ other crap. a lot of time whens u replace the alternator and u dont replace the plug it will burn out and wont charge the alternator. so before u go out and get a new alternator check the plus
