Remote programming for '90 Olds 98?

Can anyone help with the programming instructions for a keyless entry remote for a 1990 Olds 98 Touring Sedan? I bought a Pontiac remote on ebay, but all the numbers on the back match exactly so I'm presuming that it should work.

Thanks!

Thumbs up How to program keyless remote 1990 olds 98

Probably too late for this but here goes anyway.

On 1990 Olds 98 you must access receiver. It is above glove box behind dash. It is a black plastic box approx 3in X 6in. You can access it by dropping glove box past rubber stopper. There is a button on receiver press and hold button until locks cycle. then press any key on remote. Locks will cycle again to indicate remote is programmed. That's it.

Not sure about 1991. They seemed to have changed either 91 or 92 can't remember. If you find receiver and it has button this should work. Others are usually in trunk on drivers side. You just have to jumper a connector. And same cycling of locks to indicate you can press a key to program.
