Unhappy Electrical Problems

I have a 1996 Astrovan with the LT trim package. In otherwords alot of **%&#( to have electical problems on once it gets older.

For the last 6 months the interior lights have not worked. I have checked all bulbs and door switches with out any problems.

If I attempt to place a fuse in the circuit it blows before you can get it pushed in.

The other day my wife and kids told me that the lights came on for a brief moment when they were getting into the van. This without even a fuse in the panel.

I NEED HELP.

How do I find a dead short in my circuit??

Thanks
Keith

Re: Electrical Problems

Well, have you looked inside the ceiling location? i mean like above your ceiling panel? i have had the same with mine on my 87 and only one wire did all the mess as it was shorting out "ground". now that has been fixed and worked like a charm.
