Question 16 to 17 rims

I have a 2000 Yukon with 245/75/16. I want to upgrade to Denali 17 rims. I get alot of contrsting information. Do I need to or can do this with no ABS or speedometer problems. One GMC dealer says I can't, one says just bolt them on, a third says have it tested for the code to see. All aftermarket shops say go to 275/60/17? I'm very confused
