Exclamation is this a real gas saver?

ok, so to day i was driving with my friend in my car and well he was pushing it really hard and when we were back in the neighborhood he looked at the gas gauge and noticed that the gas meter didnt go down it was 2 dots below the half way mark. and then get turn off the car and came back a little later and noticed it went down one dot. does the gas get subtracted when you turn off the engine or while your driving? am i saving gas or should i be worried? i never usually let my gas light turn on. so yeah......

you're gas meter definitely goes down while you're driving. you're fuel level sensor is at one end of your tank so you may have been parked on a hill or he just looked at it wrong. The only way you would have actually lost gas while your car was sitting there was if you didn't have the gas cap screwed on right and the gas evaporated form the tank. Even that would take all night to lose an even remotely noticable amount of gas. I don't think you have anything to be worried about. But keep an eye on it just in case.
