Fuel pump or Fuel Relay???

I've got a 93 Grand Am GT. The problem I am having is that I can turn the key and it cranks , but doesn't start. When I first turn the key before cranking I cannot hear the fuel pump make its noise in the gas tank. Does this mean the pump needs replacing or can it be something else like the relay or a fuse? Should I try replacing the fuse and relay first to see if that will get it started? HELP!!!

It could be the fuse, relay, pump or a ground being loose. You will need two peopel for this find the relay, put your hand on it have your helper turn the key to run you should feel a click in the relay that will tell you the fuse is good and prolly the relay also. Try swappping relays make sure they are the same part number. Next get a test light crawl under the car disconect the fuel pump and check to see if you o=power at the pump.
