Dexcool = Death?!?!?!

I was being ignorant in the parts store today... bought some extended life Dexcool (orange) antifreeze/coolant for my 2000 'stang. Went home and remembered that there were some major problems with dexcool and the standard coolant in most cars. I know for sure they won't mix, but here's my question:

If I flush the radiator coolant, then clean it (radiator flush), am i able to drop the dexcool in the radiator without it damaging my radiator or my engine? I have to know exact answers not "maybe" or "I think so", because it can be a major problem if there is one.

I bought the stuff today and I wished I could change it today so hopefully Ill get an answer before the parts store closes...

I don't think there is a problem but why would you want to put Dexcool in your car?

The green stuff is better, imo. I've seen a lot of cars go to shit with dexcool.

Dexcool will most certainly eat away at the core of my radiator... I did some reasearch while waiting. So I'm taking it back and flushing the system tomorrow... oh well.

I guess I'll try the stuff like Zerex or something made by valvoline. I also need to use that fuel system cleaner i bought ( yay! ).

Yes. I heard through the grapevine about a lot of different GM cars having coolant failure because of Dex.

As a side note the failures all of you are talking about is for every model, mixing Dex and Glycol will leave you with a thick gel in the cooling system, yes it will spell death.
