there two ways:
or you get a new set of gauges (white, red, the color you want) or you paint your original gauges. About painting the original gauges, first you should know what kind of ilumination your car have.. that means: l l ___ <------------ Imagine that line its your l l ( O ) original gauge, the point l l o l l is the front of if (where the l l small stick is placed, and a bulb-like-form too). You see the part where the "point" is. If your car have a rear -or behind- system, the lights are placed behind your gauge, IF YOU DONT PAINT THE NUMBERS, its ok, because the light goes across the numbers. If you paint the numbers, or you place a sticker in your gauge (with white background, i.e.) , you need to place some auxiliar bulbs in front of your gauge to keep it "lighted". And about painting, you need some skills. Better get a set of gauges, the basics donīt cost you more than 80 bucks for the complete set (tach, speed and fuel/temp). How ever, if you want to put some ones like "glow in the dark" (i don't know the word in english) better we expecting like $ 100 or more. This one its a normal gauge, using the standard bulb system (from behind), has white background, but in the night looks really cool. I have one like that in my car. hope i give some help enjoy

Well, painting might be one way to go, but if your like me, your not a profesional painter, and this might be a bad idea. What i did on my jeep was i took the guages out (try not to remove the needles. this will make the future much easier, and cheaper! i F-ed up my fuel guage by taking off the needle and had to buy a new one for $30) and use a computer to scan them. Do some simple editing by changing the colors how you want them, print them in the best quality you can on some glossy photo paper, get some double sided tape, cut out the gauges and do a mock up to make sure they fit very well, and apply the double sided tape, and BOOM, awsome look'n gauges that look how you want them! another way to set off you guages after this is to get new colored bulbs for them. it will really look nice at night with white face gauges and blue bulbs (well, at least i think mine does). if you have n e questions on doing this, just email me.
