If your plan is to kill the engine then you don't need to do anything else other than buy the $500 kit and install the bish. On a DX motor I'd say you get a good amount of fun out of the kit with a 50 shot. Or if you want to just make it a quick death then get a 100 shot and post pics of the holes in the block when you're done.

Yeah Ive kinda wondered that myself. It seems like there are so many questions about N2O that it would be nice if someone made a "beginners guide to nitrous oxide" or something similar that was a sticky at the top of the Forced Induction forum. I would but I really dont know enough to do so.

I've seen a guy post on some random forum site his step by step pics on how he blew hid DX motor with a 200 shot of nos. The block literally looked like Swiss cheese after his pistons shattered and shot through the block and head. I'll try and find it.

not looking to just fucked it up with a 100 shot lol how would I get home

But it just for fun thinkin 50 or 75 shot. and not tell my friends and when I race them use it and when they say how did I do that say I never really raced you guys bc I did not want to hurt your feelings

so about 50 shot cost about 500
if I run a 17.01 now what will I run with 50 shot

i doubt that you would really see anything explode on your motor, you would prolly do what i did. either blow a hole through a valve and sound like a lawn mower, or you would blow a hole through a piston. either way the only thing you have to do to do this is strap it on, advance your igniton timing and run low octane gas. make sure you run lean with the n2o so it detotates. thats if you want it to ruin your motor other then that, if you are smart with your setup you could run a safe 50shot on your stock motor.

a nitrous kit is about 500, you only pay more if you want bigger jets, the kits usually come w/ like a 50,60,70 shot jets, after that you usually need to buy different jets ( this is a dry kit i'm talking about, i've never used any other kit, so i'm not sure if they are different. )

how about you spray this motor 50shot and learn about nitrous, then when you wanna swap the motor, sell the dx motor or keep it as a backup just incase.......i mean i could see blowing it on purpose if your rich or the motor had 300,000 miles on it, be smart.......

When I had my stock d16 motor i bought a kit of ebay for 500 bucks for 2 24 plb talks of zex including bottle warmers, stand, and purge kit. i wanted to blow my motor so i could put my B20 in. I drilled a whole in the jet to squeeze more but i "ACCIDNETALY" drilled the whole to a measure of up 150 shot i had so much fun the motor didnt blow till i was racing a corvette and a boxter... but while i had it it was fun as hell!

really dont want him going after my friends BWM Z3 1999 or 98 he told everybody its a inline 6 but it is really a 4 banger and he loses to the TIb by like a half a car to a car everytime they race I want to beat him and make him shut up

yea its safe, and a good way to learn. but you gotta decide what kinda nitrious you are gonna get. zex is the ultimate beginner nos. it atomatically squezes. u just have to program teh box to kno when to squez. one problem with this is that u dont really feel it kick in as u would when pressing the button. i would get NOS or any ohter kind so u kno when to squez and the feel of it.
