Brilliant.

I only hope that when they finally get round to perfecting time travel,I'm still around to go back and enjoy those games as they were meant to be played. In an amusement arcade,at ridiculously expensive prices.Who would have thought that in one lifetime they would go from cutting-edge entertainment to clunky freeware?

Makes you wonder what Playstation/X-box will look like in ten years time....

Now please excuse me,I'm just going to refresh that page.

mmmmm, best games ever. The funny thing about Nintendo now is that the original sells for twice the price that the N64 does.

EDIT: A man just set a world record score in Donkey Kong. Check it out: http://www.gamingworldx.com/news/Don...ordBroke.shtml
Quote:
Standing at a lofty 947,200 points, Steve Wiebe now holds the world record on the classic arcade, Donkey Kong.

Hailing from Redmond, Washington, Steve had previously broken the Donkey Kong Jr. million point threshold last year. On June 20, 2003 he set his sights on and broke the record on the parent machine.

Steve joins the only other person to hold simultaneous records on DK and DK Jr., Twin Galaxies legend, Bill Mitchell. A rare group, indeed.

tell me why the hell i know alot of these games and when they were around, i was either not born yet, or i was too young to play them ?! all i know is that the original nintendo kicked major ass (even though you had to blow into the system and cartridge with lung collapsing force to get it to work) with track and field...you know the game that you had to use the mat for....where you had to run in place with your socks to make your guy win.....and not to mention duck hunt where if you missed the duck with your nintendo laser rifle, the dog would mock you and no matter how hard you tried you could never shoot the damned dog...those were the days......

Lung collapsing force!!?!?? Nah!! Only about half that. And if you use the game genie it makes a better connecting link between the two. Trust me I still have my original Nintendo, and 127 games for it. Just starting on my SNES, and Sega collection. This is the time to buy them They're like three for a dollar!!!! It's mint.
