1990 Miata w/ 190,000 miles? $2200?

I've been looking at a 1990 Miata with close to 200,000 miles(!) on the odometer.

The body seems to be in good shape (paint is peeling and a few dents and dings here and there), but mechanically it seems sound.

Is $2200 too much? It seems a bit high, especially for a car with so many miles.

Is there anything else I should be looking out for? I want a project car for the summer, but this is the first Miata we've looked at.
