Actually I've been looking at this camera I don't have it though . I can say that it's a pretty good deal except for the fact that you have to buy the docking station . What are you going to use it for, model pics or everything?

For everything. The docking station is optional. You don't need it.Without it you have to plug in the usb cord to connect the camera to the computer,(same as the camera I have now.)

I have a Sony Cyber Shot that was about the same price and it hasnt disappointed me yet! the outdoor photos are amazing. indoors sometimes have color problems but thats a problem with most digital cameras. i just wouldnt get a HP camera. Sony is the leader in pro digital video and that technology goes into there cameras. or at least get a camera by a company that makes regular cameras.

HP have not a good reputation on digital camera

for the same price, look for Nikon product

Edit: still, this HP cam have a pentax lens (which is good) but I still prefer nikon product.. you will get better quality with a Nikon 4500 or 995.

If you have a bit of money look at the canon eos 10D or the Nikon D100 (these are both SLR digital cameras with over 6.0MP resalution)

Or for somthing a bit less look at the new canon G5.....or the Nikon coolpix 5400

I hardly think anyone here needs a SLR, and even an expensive digital SLR at that.

Marco function is a must for taking model photos; I find Nikon coolpix is the best out there! (except coolpix 2500)!

Because it's a WASTE of money if you ain't good enough at using it.

Personally I get pissed at a lot of rich guys who have expensive digital SLRs but use them like instamatics. That's such a waste of money.

I can also recommend Fujifilm's line of digicams.
