Head unit

Im new to this forum. I have a 96 cavalier sedan. I have a head unit, a harness, the wires and antenna. I was planning on doing it myself with the help of a friend ( i have never personally installed a head unit though). I asked the guy at the local store what to do. He told me there are screws that need to be taken out and there are about 10. He said once they are off i can just pop the dash off. Does anyone know the location of these screws? I would really appreciate the help.

Grab a service/repair manual from your local Autozone for $10. It should cover the removal/installation of the dash/console/radio.

Ok it says in there "pull panel realsing clips." im assuming this is after the screws have been removed? and also will i have to undo these "clips" or will just pop as I pull the panel?

yeah, the radio is set behind the dash the only way to get it out is to remove the dash..either that or smash around it, but that wouldn't look so nice

oh ok, i mis-read your first statement - you couldn't get the panel around the airbag off, ok. yea that should be fine. just as long as the clips r still in and the panel is still in correctly.

i thought u said that u couldn't put it back on right. sry to get u all excited.
