Are we being appreciated?

I was just perusing the board and stopping to answer questions as I normally try and do. I know that a lot of people try and help each other out here but I’ve noticed that once these questions are answered, fewer and fewer people are saying thanks. Its not something that I expect to see all the time, but it seems as though there are less and less thank-you messages being posted. (perhaps some of you are getting PMs)

Quite a few people here take their time and try and help fellow members as best they can. It would be nice to see that acknowledged by those receiving the assistance. Maybe I am just hitting the wrong threads, but it just seems that way to me.

Anyone else getting that impression?

Yes, that's why I am posting more in the OT forum now than I do in the modelling forum....
You try sharing your knowledge and are made to feel like you're doing them a favor

I still see a lot of thanks for things I post (if and when they happen to be helpful...) Not noticed a decline...

Glad you're not seeing it like some of the rest of us are Jay. Like I said, it might just be the posts were visiting or as Mogg pointed out, it might just be the real noobies who aren't quite as appreciative.

Yeah, I like to try to be helpful and dole out my knowledge, however limited. The only people I won't answer are the ones who refuse to use periods. Ever. Or any grammatical structure whatsoever. You know, like "you dudes what up i was out last night my boyz and i was racing this tricked out car so fast and tons of mods its not mine but im getting a nsx yea its a lot of money but my parents are loaded man we beat the ass off some stupid kid in a honda but broke our wheel so what kind of rims should i get for my totally swizeeeet car bizzzzzzzznatch"
I think you should have to take a test to access this site.

I've never posted or asked anything of value, so wouldn't know.

I have noticed it lately that there are less thankyous.
I mostly stick in the modelling forum now as that seems to take up 90% of my time here now and most there are pretty good.
I get around 5-10 PM's a day from people there and they are pretty good with thankyous...although i have had a few abuse me because i dont reply in there threads
But on a whole i think its not to bad.
