I bought a 99 Villager with what appears to be an aftermarket Visteon entertainment console between the front seats (flip-up video, VC player, video game inputs) and cannot get the power to come on.
I'm taking the kids on a loooong drive this weekend and would really like to play something for them. Anyone know how this thing has been wired? I'm guessing it is a fuse but can't find one - or where any of the wires are for that matter. I got zero help from dealer, Visteon and the only Visteon servicer is an hour and a half from me. I'd sure appreciate any suggestions you can give. Thanks! |

Visteon VCP floor-mounted console
No, this is too big a system to run off the lighter. It has a VCP, a tv screen and video game inputs, remote control, etc. and is a professionally installed aftermarket console. And no offense taken.

Re: Visteon VCP floor-mounted console
I ran into an aftermarket sunroof on an Explorer once that quit on a guy. Although it was professionaly installed they did a crappy job wiring it into the fusebox and it came loose. Get a test light and see if your getting power to the unit if not trace the wire.
