Cool `55 Chevy 210 ZR1 Street Rod with deep dish autodrags wrapped in formula one tires!

It's got a ZR1 V8, C4 Interior and deep dish Autodrags with Formula One tires It's my 1955 Chevy 2 door!

Wierd I know but it looks alright The light gun metal is an undercoat, the final product will be dark red mica with light gun metal accents with a tan/black interior combo. The engine will be wired but the engine bay is going to be clean, the deep dish wheels where made with assistance from Truck wheels. I hope it turns out nice & I hope you like it!

They are night pictures so they look a little

Thanks, at least two people like it. It gets to me that not many people appreciate classic cars and old muscle cars. If anyone hasn't picked it u pyet I broke the corners on the bonnet
Not happy but I'm trying to find a way to fix that, any ideas?

Make that three, although my knowledge of classic car limits itself mostly to European classics, I can surely appreciate this one.

As for the fixing of the bonnet, try to make a "frame around it, like re-making the outer edges with very thin and brittle styrene, and fill the remaining space with putty, and voila...

Sorry if it's not that understandable, but keep it up!

Very Nice! I like what you did with the rear wheels. Is that the kit that comes with the clear hood scoop?

Thanks Malcolm and yes it is the 55 Street rod with the clear scoop. The engine in it looks like a hunk of horse shit though!

I sprayed the red on today and I repainted the wheels and other silver bits. The back lights are done and the headlights were done also. Here's some pictures of the body and wheels, none of the interior or engine yet. Half the engine was wirted with blue wire I got out a a spare stereo I had, works better then that Model masters spark wire! I hate that stuff, this wire is so flexible and glues faster. The injection manifold was painted the body colour then touched up in silver. Sorry for the long post. More update pictures tomorrow

Hope you like it! I'll get a picture of it with the lights and wheels in place tomorrow

Update: 19th July 12:32EST

Well good to see it's hard to keep up with this thread. New pictures of the engine in place but not finished, this is where it will be positioned when I finish the model. And yes the air cleaner doess fit under the bonnet when closed . Also some pictures of the stance that has been finalised I just need the front `56 Nomad bumper to decide wether it's low or too low. There will mostlikely be another update tonight, body will recieve finishing touches then the interior fitment marathon will begin

Sorry the pictures are becoming quite heavy lately

Question, did you rehash the front suspension in that kit to put it back to being independent coil spring or did you just flatten out the ridiculous tube axle and leaf springs?

It does look great, though, and I seriously like the LT-5 transplant.

Thanks for the replies and kind words!

Octagon - There was no way I was touching that truck suspension so I got the front suspension part that came spare with my El Camino and then cut and glued it flush to the frame. the engine sits up on some cut engine bay bits from the Tamiya Ferrari 360 Modena. The diff is out of the El Camino too, although I won't be showing the undercarriage, it's too embarrasing. No actual suspension parts and no brakes, also the driveshaft won't connect to the raised 6 speed on the Corvette engine
