Question... Would any of you buy 300zx Brakes... Rotors, Calipers for all 4, For $150???
Rotors = Kind of Rusty... nothing a little spit shine wont cure Give me some feedback cause I went to a junkyard and saw a wrecked 300zx and I asked for the brakes, and $150 is what he told me. To buy or not to buy... That is the question. Also what all would I need to finish the Conversion?

if u cant get the rust off the rotors completely , go to an automechanic shop and they can resurface the rotor with a tool that spins around the rotor using a carbide tip, and takes off like 1/2 a mm each time it makes a full shave..
u can gradually do it and get it perfect.. and the rotors will be nice and clean

you do'nt need the master cylinder really. i've been running on my 300ZX brakes without it and my pedal is still pretty stiff. what you need are the calipers (duh) the rotors (duh) and you need to get all the hardware that came with the caliper. that includes the pins, clips and pads. pretty much the only hard thing about the swap is takin out the freakin stock brakes casue the screw is goin to be stuck in there pretty good. and then the next hardest part would be cutting that damn dust shield off the stock front brakes.

i did it myself. its pretty much as straight forward as it gets. all you need to do is remove the whole caliper bracket thats attached to the hub. use a 17mm socket with a breaker bar, cause those things are tuff to get out. i bout my calipers from ebay for 200. they came with all parts including nismo brake pads, shims, clips, and pins. since i work at speedworld. i was able to get a set of after market 300ZX 30mm brake rotors for 20 bucks each. so it costed me around 250 total casue thats including the shipping fee for the caliper. and also you need to measure the caliper. clearance. there are 2 types of 300ZX calipers. one is a 30 mm and one is a 26 mm. i took a gamble online and i was lucking to get a 30mm one. the way to tell is measure. if the clearance is like 1 3/8th of inch wide. or if it measures 32 mm or anything over that, then its a 30 mm caliper. if its meausres 30mm then its a 26mm caliper.
