First off, your VTEC settings are all wrong. VTEC was made to work most efficiently at the stock setting at high rpms. VTEC was created to improve high end. When the crossover is lowered then there is a dip and the hp at the crossover point. Second, you basically have no need to adjust fuel ratio on a stock ecu or without heavier mods than basic bolt-ons. The only way to properly tune witha VAFC is on the dyno.

good question
I just installed my vafc a couple of weeks ago. I lowered the engagement and played with the fuel settings and everything else. I am a biochemistry major so being the dumb ass that I am I thought I could figure out a good place to start for engagement and fuel settings. As I said "dumb ass." The engagement on the vtec is already perfect for the stock cams....no touchy. As for the fuel curve, like the other guy said, you can't really do much to help the hp there by running rich unless you have access to a dyno due to the fact that it has to be pretty precise and it wouldn't be a whole lot of difference anyways. Anyway, there wouldn't be a set figure that would work for everyone because of the differences in climates all over the world. For instance, I live in Arkansas and the air is incredibly denser here than it is in say California.
And since I'm starting to write a book, I'm going to stop now. Good luck. |
