Unhappy '97 key stuck in ignition

Key is stuck! Banging on the gear shift used to work (its an automatic).
Any ideas?

If the steering column is locked try to turn the wheel a little away from the locked position and try to remove the key.

Relay

There is a relay problem in your gear selector. Your gonna have to get that fixed in order for this problem to stop. It'll probably cost you about 200-250 dollars.
