Door locks
Alright my door locks are pissing me off. the worked fine when i bought the car, but know they are shitting out on me. they will only lock/unlock part of the time and only after you press the button several times. is this a loose conection or or are the electric solenoid(or what ever moves the lock) going bad?thanks.

Sounds like it could be either , but I may have to go with bad solenoid. Are the locks S-L-O-W or weak when they do work? I know the DSM lock relays are fairly EZ to bamboozle , if you cycle them 3 - 4 times in a row , they stop working for a minute.

I know the copper contact points on my 1g were so corroded from 13 years of service. I took the switches apart(CAREFULLY) & cleaned the contacts with some rubbing alcohol & a few cotton swabs. Then reassemble & lock away.
