Hello,
I have an 1988 Acura Integra. This car will not start, we checked the timing and it is perfect. It has been sitting for atleast a month. We replaced the clutch, filled it will new gas. The oil level is fine. We are just stumped on what is wrong. What i am asking is, to all the elders or anyone who knows, could you tell me possible problems or things i need to do or look for. Thanks alot. Intergration |

well, does it turn over? can you freely spin the crankshaft? be a little more specific, and try to pick up a manual for the car.

spray some starting fluid in the intake while turning it over, if it fires then dies you have no fuel, if nothing happens then grab a screwdriver and start checking for spark
hope this helps

Sounds like fuel problem. Check your fuel pump , fuel filter and see if you can get the injectors clean. If anything, check your cap, rotor, and coil. Check the wires and spark plugs.

I changed the spark plugs, and new wires, new fuel filter, cleaned injectors, and it keeps winding, but will not turn over.

I don't know if your car will be the same as mine but the exact same thing happened to me. I took it to the shop and it took some time for them to figure the problem. It was a crankshaft sensor. The part for mine was around 600 bones. Me being thrifty i picked one up at the junkyard for 75. It works great no starting problems.

Where is this crankshaft sensor? And what did it take to remove it? |

It is on the side of the motor it took removing a couple of bolts and connecting 1 plug you could easily do this yourself.

best i can say is check all sensors and smell (sound stupid but trust me) if burnt smell then thats a start and check all fuses in fuse box it could be a little fuse that burnt also check egnition switch and wires check starter that by your trannie under your intake also check for shortage in wires
thats the best i can say
