first attemp: Tooned Lancer

this was my first go at tooning a car. Its not so hard but it takes a lot of patience. Took me no less than 4 hours to complete. Everything except the backround was tooned, so the wheels and headlights are done. Those were the most time consuming parts to complete.

looks good
i can see where the time went. very detailed

however, it seems a bit messy with all the detailed reflections. perhaps you could remove the black out line from some of the colours on the side and on the hood. just my oppinion. im sure other people will have different ideas

i see what you are saying. I wanted to turn the opacity down or change the color of the black lines, however, the color and lines are on the same layer. Therefore by changing the color of the lines, it changes the color of the car. I could fix it, but theres no way in hell im spending another 4 hours on it.

The detail is really cool in the wheels and windows but sometimes its best to keep the rest of it simple, more like a cartoon. Heres the link to the one i just did http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t118994.html
hope it helps

ThePRobed: Your's seems TOO simple, looks good, but there are details that you could've made better..

The one here looks very nice... but yeah there is a bit too much on the hood and the doors, kinda messy...

I htink a mix between the one on this page and the one by ThePRobed would be even more awesome
