Roofracks??!

Probably sacrilege to put roofracks on a skyline (I know...), but the "odd" occasion may arise when I need to do this.
Does anyone know if roofracks are available to suit my R33?

not sure about the R33 but I have a R32 and proracks to carry the old surfboard around... Im sure that prorack make a R33 model as well.
On the R32 there are some small slots just above the windows which are covered by small rubber covering ( I had monsoons on the R32 which stopped the rain coming in the window when driving, but had to remove them to put the roofracks on!).
Failing the proracks, thule also make some racks for R33's but they are pretty expensive!

Two questions 1) where are the slots - under the window rubber?
2) what's a Prorack?

You can fit a THULE Short Roof Adapter kit, the foot pack is specially designed for 2-door coupes without rain gutters, my friend have one fitted on a 2-door RAV4 and it looks sooooo cool!

1) the slots on R32's are located just at the top of the window rubbers that stop the rain coming down thru the windows. There are only two slots on each side so the clips for the roofracks can only go there. They are a bit difficult to find at first, but after a bit of searching and prodding with a screwdriver they become apparant.

2) proracks are a type of roofracks that you can buy clips for to suit almost any make and model car.
There are two main types. The first are ones that are permantly attached to the car with rivets (they are called S-bars) they cant be removed : the second are T-bars, and have clips that hook into the slots or gutters, these can be removed and put on pretty easily...
