what's a baby Skyline worth?
need some kiwi input here,looking at a stock 1992 gxi auto,150k's with a little bit of valet needed,not reg'd or wof'ed.
What's the going rate for a tidy example on the road? Anything I should watch out for[I can start the motor andmove it a couple of feet,but the repo man won't let me test drive]

with the Skyline you needn't worry about much- they are reliable, very solid and capable of doing good mileages with all the regular maintence- parts are dirt cheap and mods are easy to find- as are engine swaps etc- I'd say you have a winner Naki

Naki has it ever been reg'ed in NZ? If not it is only worth parts which on a GXi not much.
I beleive they had CA18's in them so working on the motor is cheap. Max value on a car with that many K's would be no more than $3-4k. The auto boxes are cheap also as one out of a 4door GTE will also work so will the manual. Only need the drive shaft and other various parts to fit it. They were very reliable cars though slightly underpowered due to the weight vs motor.

As a freash import it would have sold for like 7k, so it sounds as though it had sweet FA milage here.
If you can pick it up for under 4k it is a good deal.

Well,thanks for that,I put a price in on it today,will know early next week if I'm getting a bargain.I'd rather have a manual with a 6 in it,but I've put in a cheap bid and will see what happens.Maybe with a bit of a valet,it'll come up to a nice value,and I can work it towards what I want.

Howd they get the 5 in $2805? Seems a bit odd for a price. $35 for a Warrant. Ouch.
