i'm buying a new car and need opinions

im in the for buying a new car and have decided no matter what im geting a mustang i was wondering if u could help me with this im eaither buying a 1999 mustang gt 2000 mustang bvase or a 1996 cobra could u tell me which one is the best and the cheapest performance parts for them it would be greatly apreciated!??!?!?!?!?!

I would take the Cobra! I know its a 96, but they are handmade by only two people!!!!(the motor that is).

thanks 68 stang and i think i will go with the cobra do u kno the hp for that year???

320 trq (?) I could be wrong about the torque.

I'd get the Cobra. They're faster and better built, imo.

From 2000 onward, the mustang build quality has been crap. In 2003, though, they've tried to redeem themselves.

Well lets see... the 96 Cobra has a pretty powerful engine, the 4V DOHC. The 99+ GTs are pretty decent and can keep up with a 96 Cobra stock for stock. Theyre both good IMO, but if you want to build a racer, id say go for the Cobra, especially since the have the Live-Axle (no IRS).

thanks guys and i have decided 2 go for the 96 cobra im geting it in 2 week's from my dad's friend for 9,500 nice price i think!?!?!?! i did have a 92 mustang lx and i sold it for 6,000 just wanted 2 get rid of it thanks again for the help!?!??!!

Well thats a pretty good price... but try to get it down to $7k-$8500 if you can, I saw a 96 go for $6500 here at this dealership. Was sold pretty quickly though. Remember, since youre getting the Cobra... they love to be revved the hell out of... Get something along the lines of 4.30s or 4.56s gears Couple of bolts, full exhaust, and some DRs and youre set
