Question 215/40-18 or 215/35-18 paradas on 2002 civic coupe?

I recently purchased a set of Enkei Rs6 18 inch rims wrapped in yokohama parada spec 2 215/40-18 tires. I took the tires cause they were in stock and didnt want to wait for the 35's to come in. I havent had any problems so far with rubbing. Do you think the 40's will be ok or should I have taken the 35's? I cant really bring them back now but I wanted opinions. Is there a huge difference in performance? Let me get the details if anyone has kowledge on this subject? thanks
