Problem with Supra in 4th gear..
ok I'm not sure if this is a problem or if it's normal - my supra is 5spd manual and when I'm in 4th and I put my foot down sometimes it will "rev out".. ie it the revs will go from 3000 to 6000 very quickly without picking up much speed.
Also if im running in 4th at 6000 and i take my foot off the accelerator it will drop to 3000 almost immediately... I'm thinking maybe there's just something wrong with my taco ? ok forgot to mention my supra is also non-turbo pic: http://files.automotiveforums.com/up...7287supra1.JPG |

It's also making a strong burning smell when u rev it to about 5000rpm, do you think it could be the flywheel ? You can smell it from inside the car.
