when u got them power loss.. how fast u goin ? or how fast can u get ?? if its that bad.. it might be yer catalytic converter.. if u drove over a curb or hit somin pretty bad and messed up yer catalytic converter.. all that shit in there could break up and block yer exhuast passage.. that MIGHT be it.. but not sure exactly how yer cars actin' up

Well it could be a code 16 (the ECU code would help us a lot to determine your problem!) which happens to a lot of cars. Run some fuel injector cleaner through your next full tank of gas to start, see how that does. If it IS a code 16, try changing your fuel filter. You might need new injectors if it is a BAD code 16. Also, reset your ECU.

ok lemme be more detailed. sorry I was in a rush when I posted. OK ..

guys its just all around slow.. slow off the start and died even twice, then I can like hear the vtec and stuff kick in but it's so boggy like somethings holding it all back.. i dunno but I wasn't having problems with the fuel pump before the swap, but I dunno about the injectors I did clean them though. hmm I'm going to buy an alternator tomorrow because this one is 100% gone for sure. That's why I asked could this be the problem... hmm I dunno I've got to much in this i'm almost just about to say F*$% it and give up

any suggestions are great thanks guys

you should check your ignition timing and also see if you have ecu problems. Some 4th gen had problems with water getting on the ecu and f$%#ing everything up. The vtec might also be engaging way too early causing your car to bog and stumble on acceleration.

Well then it might be something that is really simple or unfortunately an internals problem like compression loss.

Post up what code its throwing. Its hard to help if we don't know what the problem is.

Maybe your timing belt jumped a tooth!?!

Yea, man i agree with the other dude, it mad sounds like your timing jumped a tooth, 'cause that same shit happend to me when my timing was fucked up, I could barely get the thing to move from a stop without like revving the hell outta it.

yea thats exactly it... and when I get up to about 70 or so it finally goes pretty quick.

I just bought an RVM crank (only alternator) pulley last nite
also im going to get venom fuel rail, injectors, and fuel pump this week just to eliminate all them possibilties of it being the fuel.

hope its just the timeing! im going to check now.. later and THANKS

Just take the cover off the ECU (by the passengers feet), turn the key to the 1st position, and count the number of blinks from the light on the ECU.

Its easy to check the code in like 1 minute.
