Boost Issues
Hi all,
I am trying to get my car right for the dyno day on saturday and Ive come across a problem,.. i installed a boost gauge and mixture meter and i find I am only getting 12psi boost when my evc is set to 1.00kgcm (14.3psi) so should I look for i/c and bov leaks or is there a mechanical reason eg: waste gate spring? Yepp, look for leaks everywhere, or maybe your boost gauge is out a little???
BTW - be carefull with running 1 bar on a series 2. They have plastic wheels, not the ceramic. 12psi is safe(ish). But then again, you might have sorted that out already. J

Yes i thought of the gauge but it is a autometer and should be acurate i will check it, and as far as i know it is stock turbo but with the front mount i figure 14 on the dyno should be ok.
Thanks Scott |

Hey man
What reading does your EBC give you because i know mine gives the exact same reading as my boost gauge (apexi one), i suggest you take the reading off the ebc to be the real one not the autometer one. |

well when its set at 1.00 kgcm i am only building 0.95 kg.cm (approc 13.5 psi ) but the roads are wet its hard to really test it braking traction in third gets a bit annoying... im hoping a leak in the boost gauge is all it is but time will tell.
