She's In!

Still needs a new caliper (old one busted), fuel feed line and a couple other misc. cheap parts, but I got PERFECT numbers on a compression test, and she'll be tearing up the streets sometime this week.

That will be after it's completely done. I've got a spraycan of brake cleaner and a rag waiting to be put to work soon

Everybody like the hackjobbed DX intake? lol... It's just there temporarily until I figure out whether a GSR or SI one fits on it. The filter is beyond being able to clean, so I'll just get a new filter with the new intake. This job has almost put me on the street because of all the little misc. parts I've had to pickup here and there, and paying the guy to do 99% of the work isn't going to be cheap either. What do you guys think, $600 enough to make him happy? I paid him $400 to swap my blown DX for a new DX about 6 months ago... then blew that one and got this. I guess D16's weren't meant for nitrous

Get this bullshit... The DX fuel feed line from the filter to rail isn't wide enough and needs replaced with an Si one. $24 for the hose, okay that's fine. The tiny little nut which holds it onto the rail costs FOURTY SEVEN DOLLARS. What the hell man? This thing better be made of gold or something when it comes in.

I stripped the threads on the bolt putting it on the very first time. I don't just mean kinda stripped, I mean port and polished stripped... Luckily the dude's 99 Accord still doesn't have much of an engine (building a 400+whp LX turbo motor) and his fit on like it was meant for her. Hopefully Honda will take that piece of shit and give me my money back.

We got her fired up tonight, after letting her idle for a while to get the fan kicked on and filled with antifreeze (took like 30 min!). This engine sounds so... fucking... sweet... We revved her up to 8 grand hahaha. I'm prepared to fall in love tomorrow when I drive her around, I couldn't tonight because we still have to bleed/refill the brake lines and swap one of the front calipers. Then that's it. done. finally.

Drove her tonight, holy crap this car is fun. VTEC feels like nitrous, but anything under 5500-6000rpm is slightly underpowered. I'm a happy person now
