what can i do about the rear reflectors?

i have a 95 lx. i want to take the red and orange reflectors off, but the acual taillights would look like they are sticking out. has anyone done this before? if i cant take them out, can i paint over them to match my car, or would you easily be able to notice them there. basically whats the best way to get rid of them.

My car is a 1991, and 91-92 LX's did not have the reflectors at all, so you can see the attached pic to see what it looks like. As far as your car is concerned, I would think your best bet would be to paint them. Removal might leave some nasty marks or holes. If you could get a '91 or '92 hatch, that would get rid of the orange, but I don't know what you'd do about the red.

i have a good idea for hiding my reflectors, but i dont know if its possible. do you think they make gts taillight blackouts that would go over the red and orange reflector? if not, could i make one somehow?

I don't think GTS makes blackouts for the reflectors, and making some might be hard....but....you can get smoke tint spray that you could spray both the lights and the reflectors with for a smooth smoked look...

I'm not sure where to get it, probably just your local auto parts shop maybe. It would end up looking like this:
