Keyless Entry Question...

Ok, I am about to get my Keyless Pad in the mail and am ready to program it, I was reading over the instructions and it says this:

*CAUTION* To prevent damage to scan tool MB991502, always turn the ignition switch to “LOCK” (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool MB991502.
3. Connect the scan tool to the data link connector. If the scan
tool is not used, ground terminal (1) of the data link
connector.
NOTE: This will connect terminal (1) of the data link
connector to ground, and the system will be in secret code
registration standby mode.

What is the 'scan tool MB991502' and 'Connect the scan tool to the data link connector'. What are these tools? Do I need to buy them also??? Someone please explain thanks!

Does anyone have any Simpler Directions???? Thanks!

Sorry bro, I can't help you there Didn't your Lancer come with keyless entry? Mine did...hmm. I'd call your dealership where you bought the car from, and ask them about it. Good luck
