Which 250 model do you consider the best? The 250 GTO and TR had the same flat 12, but the 250 LM got a slight displacement increase, and a mid-engine. There are various other 250's as well (like the GT 2+2), but which do you think is the best?

I'll take the Red head.

Only 800 kg! That's lighter than the GTO or the LM

Lighter, true, but the Testa Rossa also only has drum brakes. The GTO (900 kg) and the almighty LM (only 820 kg with more power than the TR mind you) both have four wheel disk.

The first Ferrari to use a flat engine was the 1512 or 512 F1 car in 1964/1965. The engine used in the GTO, TR and LM were 60 degree V12 engines. The GTO is the most sought after Ferrari, and considered by many as the best !!

The LM is my favorite, but what I wouldn't give to make a couple design changes (I know that's blasphemy, but hey... ) I'd love to give it a new back end/engine cover...say a nice sweeping glass lid like on the 360 Modena? The front of the car is flawless, however.

I want one of the race cars. A 250 SWB. It has 4 wheel discs (the long wheelbase models, the 'tour-de-france' cars, had drums), a beautiful V12, and were really, really nice. I will post some more on it later, aswell as the exact one I want.

Here is the exact car I want:
Ferrari 250 Comp./61 SWB, chassis number 2937GT (Mairesse's car in the 1961 Tour de France)

I have a friend that has a 62 250 GTO, but it's a kit. I like it a lot though.

Probable $200000 at least. But NART Spyders cost well into the millions
