G35 Coupe, Sedan

Hi All,

been reading this boards here and there and what not, but finally decided to post. Anywayz my parents finally got around to buying a new car and i conned them into getting a g35 Sedan, unforutnately cuz of the female occupants of this house i couldnt puish them to get the G35 Coupe M6 but alas im still liking the sedan. Anywayz i was wondering what are the differences ? i know theres a weight difference, but is there more power loss ? is the suspension less stiff on the sedan model than the coupe ? i remember seeing separate articles for the sedan and coupe in some crappy C&D article, but i wanted to get the slimmy from ppl here on the board itself. Also ive been looking through some older mags and now realizing that the 244 whp on teh sedan (? is that correct?) can smoke alot of mofos out there now. Anyone here have any stories of smoking 96 gen GT stangs ?

anywayz ill be hanging out here in automotive forums alot more

Coupe gets 20 more hp at 280 vs the sedan's 260hp.
But dyno's and actual performace numbers aren't so different.

The Coupe and the Z get the same springs stiffness, they are shorter than the springs on the sedan. And on the sedan with sport suspension it's springs stiffness for all practical purposes are the same stiffness as the coupe and Z, in spite of the springs being slightly taller. The coupe's struts are valved the same as the sedan with sport suspension. The Z get's struts that are valved much more aggresively with allot more compression dampening.

So, the coupe and the sedan have the same suspension calibrations.

Side note: coupe and Z struts are slightly shorter bodied vs sedan struts. And since Z and coupe springs are slightly shorter if they are used on a sedan they will lower the sedan 7/8" front and 1 1/8" rear and that's lowering WITHOUT resorting to progressive springs.
