Unhappy 1996 Continental transmission

Hello, I have a 1996 Lincoln Continental. The transmission makes a jerk when shifting from low into next range. The transmission was just rebuilt. The transmission tech said this wold improve with time. It has been two weeks and 400+ miles and it is still jerking. The other higher ranges shift smoothly. Any ideas as to what can cause this other than the transmission? I tried adding Red Lubguard but no improvement. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom Arledge, Bham, AL
