Looking at a few MR2s for sale in my local autotrader.

Im a San Diego resident, and im looking to spend $6-7k overall in my hunt for a fun car. Right now, my only two options in my local Auto-Trader are a 1991 MR2 w/ 135k miles on it, and another 1991 w/ 130k miles on it. Im going down to look at both of them today. The first is priced at $5500, and the second at $4500. Is there a way to tell if it is turbo or not through the vin (which is listed)? If they are N/A, what is a good price for them? (assuming they're perfect).

What things will i need to dump cash into after purchasing them?

Edit- I've found a 1994 MR2 Turbo, 112k miles for $12k "firm". I've noticed a few of you saying that you can find a good one of these for ~$5k.. or am i wrong? (information here )

Hey, iv'e got a friend with a MR2 turbo 91 with 95K miles. it's got a little frontend damage but it's an awesome car. The engines out of it but it's fully working and all. Nothing wrong. He was going to build it up for his T88 but he just bought a 93 RX7 so he needs to get rid of it.

for 4.5K he'll give you a GReddy T88 and a TRD widebody kit, the engine everything... it's a badass car. I've got some pics if you want em. let me know! he's gettin desperate.

BY THE WAY! If you don't want the T88 he only wants $3,000. He took it to a body shop and they said they'd charge 600 for the frontend repair and a new stock turbo because it doesn't come with it and puttign the engine in. It's a really good deal if you're willing to put it in the shop for a week. Let me know man... He'd probably go down to like 2.8K

Sorry, forgot to add he's in Vegas, which isn't but a few hours away if I remember right.
