2001 Taurus - Check Engine Light
My check engine light came on last night....car seems perfectly fine, all fluids are topped and clean. Think it might need a tune up? It hit 70K last week.

We have a 2001 Taurus. At 16000 miles light came on, after 2 dealers the third dealer finally put a new EGR valve on and a sensor. I don't know what the sensor was but the part no was 2F1Z-9J460-AA and the description was 826765. Maybe this helps

Have a code scan run on the vehicle it will tell where the problem lies or at least give you a good idea. Some auto parts stores can even do this for you.

Re: 2001 Taurus - Check Engine Light
Ooops sorry for the duplicate post, just thought is more appropriate topic.
I had the same problem. I have a 2001 Taurus SES and the Check Engine light went off a few days ago. I went to Autozone to have it scanned, and here's the code : Troubleshooting P0401 The PCH has determined that there is insufficient flow in the exhaust gas recirculation system. Any ideas on fixes? |
