Question keyless entry

I recently traded in my '96 Mustang GT and bought a '99 Grand Prix GT.
What the GP lacks in power compared to the Mustang, it more than makes up for in ride, handling, and most of all COMFORT!!!

What i was wondering, does this GP come factory equipped with keyless entry? I didn't get a transmitter from the dealer. It does have PDL and remote trunk release. If anyone can help me, I can pm the VIN to them if it will help clear up this mystery.

I also tried the procedure to program the remote (even though I don't have one) just to see if the car would even enter into program mode.
When I turned the ignition off and back to ACC, it chimed twice......
When I got to the part where you open any door and close it back,
it would chime once when I opened the door, then chime again when I closed the door. It never gave me a confirmation chime.

PLEASE HELP

Your confirmation chime is after you program your remotes since you didn't thenyou get no confirmation chime!

If you look at your RPO label in your glove box or in your trunk maybe under the spare tire cover look for this option to be listed.

AU0
Lock Control, Remote Entry

If its there you have keyless entry.

Re: keyless entry

I have a budy ([email protected]) that will gladly help you determine the features your car has and if you need he would give you great deals on parts. Also check the site http://www.worldparts.com. There you can ask for certain part based on your VIN number. If your VIN matches they will give you quotes on the parts you need(like the OEM remote keyless entry control)
