Choice Mods

Hey every one,
I, like every other poor fool out there who doen'st have a skyline, am planning on buying one sometime in the next five years. Unless I find a killer deal on a R34 it will probly be a R33 V-spec. Although I'm located in the US I am also planning on moving to NZ to go to school and buy a car Now I only know enough to get me by in conversation about mods so I'm looking for some info. If I wanted to get a new exhaust system, (Pipe, manifold, the whole works), Boost controler, and rubber. What should I get? I'm not to familier with what can be done to a skyline as I only started researching them a few months ago. Also, what little bits of tuning could I do when I first got the car? I keep hearing about all these skylines with 350-400 hp with only tuning... Is this a load of crap or can it be done?
I'm not looking to sink any money into a new turbo kit right now but perhaps in the far future, or if I get a better job
Any how, any input would be great, thanks.

First, get a 3" exhaust minus the cat. Buy some good mags, with some decent tires. A pod filter (id reccomend HKS). and crank the boost up to about 12-13psi... trust me that will be enough untill you get the hang of the car...
Also you myte wana ask again when you actually GET the car as times change often. (well they could if 5 years thats for sure)

I see you are from Bowling Green Kentucky , I drove through there a few years ago , I stopped to look at the corvette museum , very interesting . anyway , I suggest you try to find a light tuned car that already has boost controller , exhaust and filters , they are no more expensive than a standard one , you can get a pretty decent R33 GTR for $45000 - $50000 NZ , with 14 psi boost they will be 380-400 hp . you will also need a clutch with this sort of power , the standard one isnt much good.
